Wednesdays on the Waterfront

Mount Pleasant has more events Scheduled for the Mount Pleasant Pier. Called Wednesdays on the Waterfront, it is scheduled Aug. 5, from 7 – 9 p.m. at the Memorial Waterfront Park pier plaza and the musician will be Miriam Allen. Miriam's music is descibed as having a latin based influence from her travels in South America. Wednesdays on the waterfront continues later in the month with Nick Collins Aug. 12 an acoustic guitar soloist and Jeff Norwood from Camden, SC (Aug. 19) playing southern blues. These free concerts are a nice giveback to the Mount Pleasant and Charleston area community. What is better than free nowadays and where better to enjoy some music than verlooking the Charleston Harbor at the Mount Pleasant Waterfront park.All the events are free to the public. the pier shop will be open for Refreshments that can be purchased. You are allowed to bring your own chair but the pier at the Mount Pleasant Waterfront Park has plenty of benches and tables. Waterfront Wednesdays is sponsored by the Town of Mount Pleasant Office of Community Development and Tourism and will run through mid October. On site parking is available at 50 cents per hour, payable at the conveniently located self service kiosks.
