Mount Pleasant Pier

The Mount Pleasant Pier has seena flurry of activity since it's opening day Friday July the 3rd. The pier is one of the longest piers i have ever seen and is quite a hike to the end. There are an abundance of swings and covered shelter roofs providing shade so one can enjoy the constant lowcountry seabreeze. The pier even has some areas with tables and chairs set up. Quite a few people i witnessed seem to be "making theirselves at home".

Fishing- there was a steady flow of fishermen along each side of the pier, however there was ample room for nay new fishermen wanting to cast a line. There are quite a list of rules to follow before you can fish from the pier. they are posted at the entrance to the pier and is quite lengthy. However the pier boasts a very nice Souvenir gift shop which sells tackle and even rents rods. Snacks and beverages alonjg with a Restroom is also provided.
