Mount Pleasant Waterfront Park

I made a trip over to the Mount Pleasant memorial Waterfront Park today. Construction crews are there and making some very good progress. The park area behind the Covention/welcoming center can now be seen and is being landscaped with grass and trees. Playground equipment is also visible.

Here is a picture of one of the two buildings that are at the front of the park. This i think is the visitors center or the sweetgrass cultural center. The picture below you can see some of the playground equipment with the charleston harbor in the background.

This picture os one of the 3 or 4 Mount Pleasant Memorial Park logo signs erected at different locations through the park. This one is opposite the visitor center and is along the walking trail that runs under the Arthur Ravenel, Jr bridge.
This picture is a view of the entrance to the fishing pier under the bridge

Here a long range picture of the Arthur Ravenel, Jr bridge with the end of the fishing pier visible
And the entrance or roadway leading into the park area. Their is a sign called Harry Hallman Blvd. But it is also called Wingo Way. This road runs out into Patriots Point Blvd. and right before you enter this area is the Tides Condos
